While funding for your project is fantastic, the pursuit of funding can be confusing and complex. The OU Center for Faculty Excellence R&CA team aims to demystify the process of securing funding through a series of workshops and events around developing specific types of proposals.

R&CA 120 Finding Internal and External Funding
OU provides several internal funding opportunities to support faculty research and creative activities. Learn how to leverage these funding opportunities to secure external funding to further support your research and creative activities and broaden the impact of your work. While faculty are often familiar with one or two external organizations that fund work in their area, this workshop provides additional strategies to search through the GrantForward funding database. You will learn how to create a personalized, recurring search that presents you with a curated list of funding opportunities relevant to your interests.
R&CA 125 Overview of STEM Early Career Funding Opportunities
This CFE workshop presents information on early career funding opportunities from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and pointers on how to develop the project overview.
R&CA 128 Intro to the NSF CAREER RFP
For OU faculty planning to submit an NSF CAREER proposal in July, this introduction will provide some basic guidelines and OU resources to help you think through your submission strategy.
R&CA 221 Workshop Series: Creating Your First Proposal
This weekly workshop series is for faculty who want to develop a full proposal through the semester.

R&CA 226 NEH Fellowship Grant Writing Cohort
This 6-month workshop series (1 meeting per month) is co-sponsored by the Arts & Humanities Forum and will run from November to April. It is geared to arts and humanities faculty interested in developing a grant proposal for individual fellowships with organizations such as the National Endowment for the Humanities.

This workshop series provides clear deadlines, and accountability system, peer review of applications, and a thorough revision process. Open to 15 faculty members per year.
R&CA 228 NSF CAREER Proposal Development Series
This periodic workshop series is for faculty who have a good understanding of the NSF CAREER RFP and would like to develop a full 15-page proposal through the Spring semester.

R&CA 251 Creating Biosketches: ORCiD/SciENcv
NSF requires submitted proposals to provide biosketches and current and pending funded programs in a specific format. This format can be produced through SciENcv-which will pull your information from ORCiD and hold your information for edits further down the road, or through a fillable PDF (biosketch, current and pending).

R&CA 326 Translating Your Book to a Fellowship Proposal
Are you working on a book project? Do you have a partial draft of a book proposal floating around in your files? Why not turn it into a fellowship or grant proposal? This will help you update your book proposal, which will result in a better document to eventually send an editor--and it has the potential of getting you some dedicated leave time to write the book! Come learn how to adapt your book proposal to a range of possible fellowship applications.

R&CA 101 Proposals 101
This is a basic introduction to OU's process to submit proposals to external funding agencies and the available resources to aid you in this effort. Co-hosted by OU's Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) and the Office of Research Services (ORS).

Do you want to commercialize an innovation? This 90-minute session provides an initial perspective to help you articulate the business value of your technical or academic innovation through determining the proper corporate structure for a high growth endeavor. We will help you formulate the questions you need to ask yourself and provide guidance on obtaining the answers.
