The U.S. Department of State is estimating passport processing times of 10 to 13 weeks for standard applications and 7 to 9 weeks for expedited passports (additional fees apply), not accounting for mailing times. You should plan to apply for your passport early so that you have time to receive the passport and complete any additional applications. For Spring 2024 students we advise you to apply for a passport no later than August 15 for standard applications or September 15 for expedited applications. If you have any questions, please email ea@ou.edu or make an appointment with your study abroad advisor.
