CIS Student Travel Support Grant
The College of International Studies provides limited funds to support IAS graduate and undergraduate student travel for research and educational activities. Students may request a reimbursement of funds up to a maximum of $750 per academic year for travel related to research or attendance at educational programs.
If you are traveling out of the US, you must register your emergency contact information with Education Abroad (there is a $50 fee for this service) and you must purchase CMI insurance through Education Abroad.
Upon completion of student’s travel, the student is required to submit receipts for airfare, lodging and taxi in order to receive reimbursement payment.
Applicants must meet the following specific criteria:
- Applicants must be undergraduate IAS students who have completed a minimum of one year of study at OU by the time of participation. MAIS graduate students must have completed nine credit hours of graded coursework.
- Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 for undergraduates, 3.5 for graduates.
Student Travel Support Grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. Students may submit their application materials at any time a minimum of two weeks before their travel date.
