During her 25+ years at CIWRO, Ami has provided Geographic Information System (GIS) services for numerous projects. In the 2000s, she led a small team that created GIS data sets of flash-flood-scale drainage basins necessary for the Flash Flood Monitoring and Prediction (FFMP) system that was implemented at every National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office (WFO) in the U.S. and its territories. In more recent years, she has provided GIS data and tools for the Multi-Resolution Multi-Sensor (MRMS) project, Flooded Locations and Simulated Hydrographs (FLASH) project, Plains Elevated Convection at Night (PECAN) project, and Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment-Southeast (VORTEX-SE).

Additional contributions include assisting with analyses for mobile and permanent radar sitings, as well as maintaining a data set of radar interference caused by wind turbines. Ami has truly enjoyed the opportunity to work with so many different groups and people at CIWRO and beyond.
