Dean Meyer's career in weather research started early as he tracked tornadoes from his childhood home in northern Alabama. Witnessing the 2011 Super Outbreak of tornadoes inspired him to pursue meteorology and earn degrees from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). Now at CIWRO, Dean continues working to advance the field of meteorology in order to protect life and property.
