Jonny Madden

Jonny Madden is a Research Associate and Developer for OU-CIWRO, working as technical support for the Experimental Warning Program’s Hazardous Weather Testbed. His role is to construct, configure, and manage local and cloud-based computer resources necessary for each experiment, and provide IT support during their operations. His expertise is focused on configuring and debugging the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS II) software used in experiments for data interrogation and warning issuance. Jonny also provides additional experiment support by developing plugins that extend the functionality of AWIPS II to include new datatypes and visualization techniques.
