Dr. Britt is a Postdoctoral Fellow working with CIWRO and NSSL as part of the Forecast, Assessment, and Social Science Team in FRDD. Her work primarily focuses on object-based verification of retrospective forecasts from the Warn-on-Forecast System (WoFS) to understand how well WoFS can predict severe convective events, such as QLCSs and cyclic supercells. She is currently working on developing a new composite forecasting parameter for QLCS mesovortex tornado potential. She is also certified to pilot the CopterSonde, which is a small, weather-sensing Uncrewed Aerial System (WxUAS) developed to collect observations in the boundary layer. She has been part of the CopterSonde team in various field campaigns, such as TRACER and OUTFLOW.
