Mastooreh Ameri earned her bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Shiraz University, followed by a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Tehran. During her master's thesis, she developed an interest in cloud microphysics schemes, which inspired her to pursue doctoral studies in meteorology.

In 2023, she joined Dr. Greg McFarquhar's Cloud Physics group. Her current research focuses on identifying and investigating uncertainties in cloud properties using in-situ measurement data across various environmental conditions and cloud regimes.
