Nana is a Research Scientist at CIWRO. She holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the University of California, Irvine. She is interested in high-impact weather phenomena, such as deep convection and mesoscale convective systems (MCSs), particularly in analyzing large datasets using both statistical methods and machine learning/artificial intelligence. Currently, her work focuses on quantitative precipitation estimation using geostationary satellite data and machine learning techniques.
