The Social Science Research Team is a cross-functional team in partnership with NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory that evaluates how severe weather and tornado forecast and warning information is created, used, and acted upon by various entities including National Weather Service forecasters, its partners, and the public.

This Postdoctoral position will play an important role in the continued development of WoFS by supporting the coupling, evaluation, and application of the Flooded Locations and Simulated Hydrographs (FLASH) hydrologic model within the WoFS framework.
This Postdoctoral Research Associate will work to improve high resolution fire weather warning guidance by integrating fire spread models with the Warn-on-Forecast System. Use your knowledge and skills to develop innovative probabilistic guidance products for fire spread and generate objective verification metrics for forecasts of wildfire spread using radar and satellite observations.
