About

My focus as a faculty member is teaching and passing on my love of computing and electronics to the students in my classes.

Cliff Fitzmorris is an assistant professor who teaches Introduction to Digital Design, Circuits I, Circuits Lab, and the Senior Capstone Design Course.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1988 and his Master of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1994, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Fitzmorris worked for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent for 16 years, where he designed embedded controller circuit boards and mixed signal voiceband interface circuits. His most successful circuit card, the SPQ401, sold over 100,000 units. He designed a lightning mitigation system for the WSR-88D doppler radar while working for the National Weather Service that is installed fleet-wide andsignificantly reduced radar outages due to nearby lightning strikes.
