About

Yuye Ling, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining OU, Ling was an assistant and then associate professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on developing high-performance computational optical imaging and visualization platforms for medical applications by leveraging advanced computational techniques including optimization and machine learning. Specifically, he is interested in the theory, system design, and application of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and computer-generated holography (CGH).

Ling received his B.E. in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 2018. He is currently a member of Optica and SPIE.

Ling and his students have received numerous international recognitions, including Outstanding Reviewer Recognition by Optica Publishing Group, Optica Women Scholar, Best Paper Award in SPIE Photonics West 2024 Conference Optical Interactions with Tissue and Cells XXXV, and Image Processing Student Paper Award in SPIE Medical Imaging 2022.
