About

Dr. Byeong-Min Roh is an assistant professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining OU, he was a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). His previous research was funded by federal agencies and industries, such as NIST, American Makes, and GM. His research interests lie in the areas of process modeling, real-time monitoring, and AI-based process & product qualification with a focus on advanced manufacturing processes, specifically additive manufacturing. His research contributions improve advanced manufacturing technologies with respect to (1) modeling process-structure-quality relationships, (2) in-situ quality assurance, and (3) guidance for metal AM process control. His work has been published in ASME, CIRP, and ASM, among others.
