The Gallogly College of Engineering congratulates Dr. Khondhaker Al Momin, of the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES), on receiving the GCoE Dissertation Excellence Award. The award was established to recognize doctoral scholars whose research demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and potential for meaningful impact.
Dr. Momin’s dissertation investigates the transition toward resilient and economically viable electrified transportation systems. By analyzing the role of charging infrastructure in alleviating reliability anxiety, the economic impact of charging stations on nearby businesses, and electric vehicle performance during natural disasters, his research addresses key challenges in electrified transportation.
This research provides policymakers with actionable guidance for developing greener and more resilient transportation systems that serve communities in both daily life and emergency conditions.
Following the completion of his doctoral studies at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Momin joined the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, as an assistant professor. CEES and the Gallogly College of Engineering congratulate Dr. Khondhaker Al Momin on this well-deserved recognition and wish him continued success in his academic career and future research.
