Ms. Faith Gachunga, an undergraduate junior in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES), has received the OU Provost’s First-Generation UReCA Fellowship in recognition of the exceptional merit of her research proposal.
“We’re excited to support your journey,” said Dr. Christina R. Bourne, Director of OU’s Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (UReCA), in a message to the Fall 2026 fellowship recipients.
As a fellow, Ms. Gachunga will spend the semester conducting her proposed research, “From Warning to Action: How Oklahoma Residents Learn About Tornado Risk and Make Protective Decisions.”
