Please note the following safety procedures are in place.
Guests should allow extra time for entry. Metal detectors will be located at the main entrances to each venue. Before screening, guests will empty their pockets of cell phones, keys, and metal objects. Medical lanes will be available for guests who require alternate screening methods.
Appropriate cloth or surgical-style masks that cover the nose and mouth completely will be required for all guests (age 2 and older) in all graduation venues. Masks will be distributed to those who do not bring their own. Graduates may temporarily remove their mask as their name is announced and they cross the stage. Graduates may also temporarily remove their mask as they pose for their “Green Screen Photo.” During the doctoral hooding process, both the hooding faculty member and the graduate must wear a mask, as physical distancing cannot be maintained.

The clear bag policy will be in effect for graduation ceremonies. A detailed list of permitted items is available below.
All carried-in items will be searched by security personnel prior to entering the venues. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded. Items left at the entrance will be discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to arrest. It is still illegal to carry any gun on OU campuses and clinics.
Admissible only for outdoor graduation ceremonies if relocated due to inclement weather:
Prohibited items must be returned to the owner’s car or discarded, and any unlawful items are subject to confiscation.
Security officers will search all bags before attendees will be permitted to enter. Those with prohibited items will be asked to return items to their car.
Due to the potential for extreme May heat, we are taking measures to keep guests and graduates safe. We encourage guests in vulnerable populations to view the ceremony via livestream. Water will be provided to graduates and will be available for purchase for guests.
Game day attire is recommended for faculty and graduates under their regalia. Guests are also encouraged to wear game day attire.
