Dr. Jenny Sperling, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Critical Studies in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies department at the University of Oklahoma. Her research draws on queer, feminist, and critical disability studies to examine how institutions shape the conditions of learning and belonging across contexts—including sexual and reproductive health education, queer and trans lived experiences in higher education, and the contested terrain of local and state educational policy. Using ethnographic and community-based methods, she explores how individuals and communities navigate, resist, and reimagine the systems that structure educational life.
