What is SPARK360o?

Initially IMPACT360, SPARK360is a new Autism Support Program that launched in Fall 2023. It is designed to support autistic students seeking an undergraduate degree* as they navigate the hidden college curriculum. The program provides full circle support for participating students through academic planning, transition support, employment skills, independent living, and social development. 

*Priority is given to first- and second-year students in STEM majors, however all are welcome to apply and will be accepted as space allows.

Support, Partnership, Advocacy, Resources, Knowledge

Full Circle Support. including academic planning, transition support, employment skills, independent living, and social development.

Academic Planning & Coaching

Focus on executive functioning skills such as note taking, time management, strategies, and organization.

Transition Support

Individualized plans reinforced with weekly meetings to facilitate goal setting and attainment.

Employment Skills

Assistance with employment-centered campus resources including resume building, interview skills, and opportunities for employment.

Independent Living

Supports for adapting to living alone or with a roommate and managing life skills such as hygiene and domestic responsibilities.

Social Development

Facilitating common social connections through program activities, student organizations, campus events, and dedicated program space.

Meet the Director

Angela is a Certified Autism Specialist and an alumna and current student at OU, earning her BA and MEd before returning in 2021 to pursue her PhD in Special Education. She returned to OU in June of 2019 as the Associate Director of the Accessibility & Disability Resource Center before transitioning to SPARK360o, where she serves as the Director.
