Half-Day Program

In addition to our full-day intensive curriculum, we are pleased to offer a half-day option this upcoming summer. The OU Summer String Academy Half-Day Program will be led by Dr. Kasia Bugaj with instrumental coaching from OU String Academy faculty and assistants.

Half-Day Participants will enjoy:

Daily String Orchestra Rehearsals
Group Lessons and Sectionals
Performance opportunities on evening String Academy Recitals
Final Orchestra Performance in Sharp Hall at the OU School of Music

Participants may choose from 2 x 1-week sessions or attend both sessions.

Session 1: July 6-11, 2026
Session 2: July 13-18, 2026
Sessions 1 and 2: July 6-11 and July 13-18, 2026 (Free day Sunday, July 12)

9:00am - 11:30am, Group Lessons, Sectionals, Masterclasses and Guest Presentations/Performances
11:30am - 11:45am, Short Break (Participants should bring a snack)
11:45am - 1:00pm, Orchestra Rehearsal

Participants may choose from 2 x 1-week sessions or attend both sessions. The cost of the event varies depending on this choice:

Session 1 (July 6-11) - $225
Session 2 (July 13-18) - $225
Sessions 1 and 2 (July 6-11 and July 13-18) - $400

Register at the link below. This program is open to all ages. There is no audition required for admittance to the program. At least one year of private lessons or orchestra experience is recommended.
