A new partnership between the University of Oklahoma School of Music and the Norman-based nonprofit SunHive Collective is giving OU students hands-on experience working with young adults with special needs, an opportunity that music education faculty member Melissa Baughman, Ph.D., calls “pure joy.”

The University of Oklahoma School of Dance, in partnership with the Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance, will offer free Dance for Parkinson’s classes from Aug. 19 through Dec. 11. Open to individuals living with Parkinson’s disease as well as their caregivers and family members, the classes will be held twice weekly in Norman.
In just his second season of producing Broadway shows, University of Oklahoma alumnus Cory Lloyd is celebrating major success at the 79th annual Tony Awards. Lloyd, managing partner of Lloyd Tichio Productions, had five productions nominated this year for a combined 27 honors across multiple categories.
The University of Oklahoma announced today the students named to its spring 2026 honor roll, a distinction given to those who achieve the highest academic standards. A total of 12,083 students were named to the spring 2026 honor roll. Of these students, 5,004 were named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an “A” grade in all their courses.
One hundred and sixty-six University of Oklahoma undergraduate students eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average throughout their academic program at OU. Of the total, 88 reside in Oklahoma.
This month, alumnus Emmy Wildermuth returns to OU not as a student, but as a professional dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. She will perform on May 10 at the Elsie C. Brackett Theatre as part of a multi-day residency that connects students and the community with professional dance.
University Theatre at the University of Oklahoma will present The Birds, a production that incorporates life-sized puppetry and mask work. The production opens on April 3.
The University of Oklahoma Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts hosted its annual Arts! Arts! Arts! Gala on March 8 at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel, bringing together alumni, supporters and community members for an evening celebrating the arts and recognizing distinguished alumni and partners.
