As a sculpture and drawing instructor in the School of Visual Arts, Sohail Shehada has created an impressive body of work, including more than 15 sculptures on OU’s Norman campus and many private and public commissions.

The Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma celebrated outstanding alumni at its 34th Annual Arts! Arts! Arts! Gala on March 2. The event helped raise funds for student and faculty professional development opportunities.

This interdisciplinary exhibition invites artists, plant biologists, and OU students to consider plant communication as ecological collaboration.
The Lightwell Gallery is located on the 2nd floor of the Fred Jones Art Center, and open Monday through Friday (unless there is a holiday or campus/office closure do to weather, sporting event, or meetings) 9am - 5pm.

Fieldworks 2026 presents work developed by participants in the School of Visual Arts’ annual summer residency program in Cañon City, Colorado. Developed through field-based investigations of space, place, and environment, the exhibition reflects the diverse perspectives and experiences of this year’s cohort. The projects on view grew out of travel, research, and conversations in the field, offering a range of perspectives on the many landscapes, communities, and histories encountered during the trip.

During the academic year from August 15 through May 15, the Russell Center is open to the public from 9-4 PM, Monday through Friday, and by appointment.
The Ceramics Annex is located on the south side of the Norman, OK main campus. The Ceramics Annex is not opened to the public unless there is a public event. Please check our events calendar for any upcoming events.
