Alan Moring is a Professor of Practice and Community Liaison in the Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. A lifelong Sooner, he attended high school in Norman before earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the College of Architecture at OU. He began teaching at the university in 2023, bringing with him more than 30 years of professional experience.
Throughout his career, Alan has worked with architectural firms in Norman and Oklahoma City, contributing to a wide range of projects including stadiums, hospitals, museums, schools, and housing. His work reflects a deep understanding of both design and community needs. Prior to joining the faculty, he served as a Staff Architect for the University of Oklahoma for over seven years, where he played a key role in campus planning and project execution.
