Cory Henry was born to a Jamaican mother and raised in The Bronx, New York City. As a youth his interest, and ability, in art led to several opportunities and discoveries within this vibrant city and artistic epicenter. Cory developed an early interest in phenomenology, art, urban conditions, cultural sensitivity, and spatial investigations. He later earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University, conducted design research in new media, immersive environments and emergent technologies at the Southern California Institute of Architecture and earned a Post-professional Masters II Degree of Architecture and Urban Design from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.
Cory is the Founder and Creative Director of the interdisciplinary design practice Atelier Cory Henry. Prior to founding Atelier Cory Henry, he was a senior designer at several renown architecture firms including Michael Graves and Associates, and has contributed to award winning designs in residential, commercial, institutional, and urban planning projects that spans three continents.
