Lucy earned her B.A. in History from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 as a non-traditional student, followed by a Master’s in Library and Information Studies in 2021. Before returning to college, she worked as a pediatric medical assistant at her local clinic while raising her two children. It was during this time that she discovered a passion for educating new parents and advocating for accurate, accessible information—especially in the face of widespread healthcare misinformation.
Driven by a commitment to information literacy, Lucy re-entered higher education to deepen her expertise and expand her impact. Today, she supports students at OU not only in navigating their academic paths, but also in recognizing that success is personal, multifaceted, and unique to each individual.
