The Haskell and Irene Lemon Division of Construction Science (CNS) maintains strong, ongoing partnerships with the construction industry. These relationships create meaningful opportunities for our students to connect with professionals, gain real-world insight, and build career-ready experience. Below are just a few examples of how CNS students engage directly with industry leaders.

Career and Internship Fair

Every spring and fall semester, CNS hosts a career and internship fair. This fair enables students at all levels to develop relationships with industry professionals.

Competitions

Our students regularly place in student competitions sponsored by professional organizations, including NAHB, TEXO, & DBIA.

Internships

Students are required to complete a full-time internship the summer before their senior year, and are encouraged to participate in internships every summer.

Site tours offer our students valuable, firsthand exposure to the construction industry.
