Dr. Andrés Cavieres, an Assistant Professor with the Division of Architecture, recently attended the InterSolar Conference in Munich, Germany, from October 6th to the 8th. Dr. Cavieres attended as part of the official launch by VesprSolar Inc. of the V-Clamp™ , a ground-breaking, patent-pending fastener for photovoltaic (PV) modules developed by Dr. Cavieres at OU.

The InterSolar Conference is the most important international exhibition for the solar industry, showcasing the most recent advancements in solar energy technology from around the world. Dr. Cavieres has been working with VesprSolar Inc. for the past three years to get the V-Clamp™ ready for commercialization. Remembering Robert L. Wesley

Robert L. Wesley, a pioneering architect and beloved mentor, has died at age 88. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Wesley joined Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in 1964 and became the firm's first Black partner in 1984. Throughout his career, he contributed to significant architectural projects while maintaining a strong commitment to civic engagement and professional mentorship.
