Arch. Professor to Teach Study Abroad Program in Arezzo

Architecture Professor Dave Boeck will be traveling to Arezzo, Italy, to teach a study abroad program at the University of Oklahoma’s Italian study center. He will teach at OU’s Arezzo campus for the last eight weeks of the Fall 2022 semester, and throughout the entire Fall 2023 semester. 

Boeck was invited by Kirk Duclaux, Director of the OU Arezzo programs, to instruct Architecture for Non-Majors. This General Education course teaches non-architecture students basic principles of architecture and characteristics of a well-designed structural environment.  

In addition, Boeck will lead sketching workshops for both OU students and students from a local university in Arezzo.

OU Gibbs PhD Candidate Develops Certified Citizen Planner Program

Petya Stefanoff, Chair of the Educational Committee with the American Planning Association, Oklahoma Chapter (APA-OK) and Gibbs College PhD candidate, has developed a new training program for local government officials. The program, focused on land use, zoning principles, and land development, recently certified its first graduates with Certified Citizen Planner status.
