Gibbs College to Host OU Alumni + Friends Reception at 2023 AIA National Conference

Mark your calendars for the OU Alumni + Friends Reception at the 2023 AIA National Conference!

Scheduled for Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m, Dean Hans E. Butzer will host the event at the Living Room Bar located within the W San Francisco Hotel. The venue is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from the Moscone Convention Center, where the AIA National Conference will be held.

We will also be celebrating the recent elevation of Jason Holuby, class of 2000, to Fellow of the AIA.

This reception is a come-and-go event. A cash bar will be available, and appetizers will be provided.

Faculty Publish Chapter in New Perspectives in Indoor Air Quality

Associate Professors Lee Fithian, Ph.D., and Elizabeth Pober have published a chapter in the recently released New Perspectives in Indoor Air Quality, published by Elsevier. Their contribution, titled “Chapter 16 – Architecture and the Challenges of Indoor Air Quality,” examines the relationship between architecture and indoor air quality.

Regional & City Planning Graduate Earns Prestigious National APA Student Award

The Gibbs College of Architecture is proud to recognize Tahsin Tabassum, a recent graduate of the college’s Master of Regional and City Planning program and current doctoral student at the University of California, Irvine, for receiving the prestigious 2024–2025 American Planning Association (APA) Outstanding Student Award.
