Cap and Gown Scholarship

The University of Oklahoma never wants a student's financial situation to keep them from participating in our Graduation Ceremonies.  

For students who are unable to afford a cap and gown, Graduation and Persistence Support has partnered with our official academic regalia vendor, Jostens, to continue the Cap and Gown Scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded, a voucher is provided that would cover the full cost of a regalia package. .

Scholarships are awarded during the semester a student is finishing their degree and walking in a Commencement ceremony. Scholarships are available to students on all three campuses. Purchases must be made in person at Graduation Gear Up or the Jostens Sooner Shop on the Norman Campus. Scholarships are not available for online purchases, and we are not able to reimburse students after they have purchased their regalia.
