Julie Schweitzer received her doctoral degree in sociology from Oklahoma State University. As an environmental sociologist, her research interests include environmental justice issues, energy production and transition, social movements, and food systems. In her teaching, Jule Schweitzer is committed to fostering interest in the social world and encouraging students to develop an informed curiosity about their communities.
