At your service

We welcome conference participants, students, parents, families, faculty, staff, alumni and the public to OU. We offer a number of helpful services and amenities, including accommodations for summer programming

All space is available for rent on a short-term or long-term basis. 

All units are non-smoking.

 Inquiries and reservations for all locations are done through the Sooner Suites office.

Sooner Suites

Each suite has two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), a full bath, living room area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with basic cookware and dish service for four. All linens are provided in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Wireless internet and cable TV are included. A complimentary parking permit will allow guests to park in reserved parking adjacent to the suites. Some units have a washer/dryer in the kitchen area. Housekeeping service is provided. 

Sooner Duplexes

Each duplex has two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), a full bath, living room area and a fully equipped kitchen with basic cookware and dish service for four. All linens are provided in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Wireless internet and cable TV are included. Each duplex has one designated parking space located in front of the unit, with additional space street side. Housekeeping service is provided. The laundry facility is located on the premises. 

Kraettli Apartments

Each apartment has two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), a bath, living room area, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with basic cookware and dish service for four. All linens are provided in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Wireless internet and cable TV are included. There is ample parking located in the parking lot around each apartment. Laundry facility located on the premises. Housekeeping service is provided.

A resident of Guest Housing in the Kraettli Apartments must have a recognized affiliation with the University of Oklahoma using one of these qualifications:

  • Employed by The University of Oklahoma
  • Post Docs or Post-Doctoral Exchange student
  • Visiting professor or scientist
  • Researcher
  • Scholar
  • Visiting intern
  • Fulbright exchange faculty scholar
  • Ph.D. candidate’s week-end studies or dissertation presentation
  • Visiting graduate students being recruited
  • International visitors to university offices
  • Conference or workshop attendees
  • New university staff – temporary until a permanent home is available


 

Availability and Rates


 

  • The Sooner Suites and Sooner Duplexes rates are seasonal and based upon availability and length of stay.

  • We offer a discount to OU departments.

  • Kraettli Apartment rates are based on length of stay.

  • A deposit of one night's rate is required to guarantee reservations for all spaces, unless being directly billed to a University Department.

  • No pets are allowed at the Sooner Suites. Sooner Duplexes and Kraettli allow pets for a one-time non-refundable fee of $125.00 per pet. 

  • No smoking or tobacco use is allowed on the OU campus.

  • Check-in time is 3 to 5 p.m. and check-out time is 12 p.m. Accommodations on the basis of disability are available by contacting our staff at (405) 325-2270.

Reservations are made through the Sooner Suites property, whether it is for one night or several months. Our staff will be happy to visit with you in selecting your best housing option. Our guests and extended stay residents come from all over the world. The housing we provide is clean, safe and convenient. On-campus guest housing offers an opportunity for university-sponsored guests and their families to enjoy the experience our unique community provides. We meet the needs of these guests by providing fully furnished, spacious and convenient on-campus accommodations.

All guests will check in and out at Sooner Suites main office at 1775 maple Ave., Ste. 402. Our office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Any arrivals or departures outside of business hours will need to have prior arrangements made with our office.

Residential Rentals


 

Must be OU staff, faculty or upperclassman student to lease rentals. Most houses are located close to campus in Norman. Most of the single-family units are 2 bedroom and 1 bath, with the majority offering a washer/dryer. Some, but very limited, have an enclosed garage. Services included in the rent are basic lawn care  (usually bi-weekly), quarterly pest control and the City of Norman bill (water and refuse).     

Total due upon signing of the lease: the security deposit (equal to one month's rent) and the first months’ rent.


 

Summer Camps and Programs


 

All summer camps/programs are required to register at ou.edu/scheduling under policies and procedures. Once you register your camp, you will be qualified to request overnight space in the residence halls.

The University of Oklahoma hosts camps from programs preparing to participate in their tenth year at OU, to first-time sponsors. We are able to host extended or weekend camps/programs.
