Local telephone service is still an available option to residents upon request for a monthly charge. For more information and to set up service, contact OU IT's Telecom department directly.
Residents of Kraettli apartments will be issued one laundry card per unit. This card will allow residents access to the laundry facility on site. The laundry machines are free to use by Kraettli residents. The Kraettli laundry card and facilities are to be used by Kraettli residents only.
Please remember to be considerate of others and promptly remove clothes from the washers and dryers. The university is not responsible for articles left unattended. If you have problems with your laundry card or if it is lost or stolen, please contact the Kraettli office at (405) 325-4431.
Upperclass students, faculty, and staff can live at Kraettli. An upperclass student is defined as a student with over 24 credit hours earned after their high school graduation date and/or who are at least 21 years old.
Spouses, siblings, and children of eligible residents may live at Kraettli. Legal documentation of the family relationship is required as part of the application. All rent will be charged to the OU student, faculty, or staff member who holds the contract.
Yes, two eligible residents can share an apartment as roommates. Half of the rent will be charged to each resident.
You can submit an application up to nine months prior to your desired arrival.
As part of the application process, you will provide your desired move-in month. Approximately 30-45 days before that month, all applications for the month will be reviewed in order of submission.
If you receive a notification that we are unable to offer you an apartment for your desired move-in month, you will be given the option to either cancel your application or choose a new desired move-in month.
As part of your application, you will be required to provide preferences. We will not offer you an apartment if it does not meet these preferences. As a result, choosing the most flexible option available increases the chance of a compatible apartment being available.
For example, you will be asked to select a preference for which floor you would like to live on (first floor vs. second floor). Selecting “No Preference” on that option means you will be considered for both floors, increasing the chance of a compatible vacancy.
Yes. Current residents may submit a Room Change Request Form. Please be advised, these requests are considered alongside any new Kraettli applications in order of submission date.
