Adopt-An-Area is a beautification program on campus in which fraternities, sororities, student organizations, and residence halls participate during the months of March-May in the spring and September-November in the fall. Each group volunteers to adopt an area of campus, assigned by Landscaping, which they clean up every week. They are responsible for keeping their area trash-free throughout the year, which helps keep our campus beautiful!
Each week during the Adopt-An-Area season, representatives from the Landscaping department evaluate every area and gives each group a thumbs up or thumbs down, depending on the cleanliness of the area. The results are posted every Thursday on our website and social media. These scores are tallied throughout the calendar year, and an award is given to the group with the best score each spring in celebration of Arbor Day.
