Mode and Learning Activities
Learning process
The learning process of this class will take the
following steps.
- Online session:
- Go to each learning module under the Module
Area of the class homepage as scheduled in the course syllabus.
- The weekly module will be updated on the
schedule dates at 9am as indicated in the course syllabus.
- One learning module is mostly composed of
four sub sections.
- Study the learning module and complete the needed learning
activities specified at each section.
- Assignments:
- After completing studying each learning module,
you will find a link to assignment at the end of each module.
- You can complete most of the assignments
online. If not, turn in your assignment to the instructor
as email attachment.
- Or you can use the Drop Box (under Assignments Area) of the class
homepage.
- Learning discussion:
- To have group-based learning experience,
all students are required to participate in discussion activities
throughout most online learning modules.
- Each discussion session of the learning module
is composed of reflective questions developed by the instructor
and a discussion board can be found under the Discussion
Area of Canvas class homepage where the students respond to
the probing questions.
- Quiz:
- All quiz questions are coming from the required
reading chapters of each module. Each learning module will
specify which chapters you need to read for the next learning
module and take the related quiz.
- You can take each quiz under the Quiz
area of Canvas class homepage.
- You can take up to 20 minutes to finish each
quiz and refer to textbook and class materials.
- Each quiz can be taken only once.
- Project: Complete individual project developing
an online learning module. Detailed instruction will be provided
later.

Late submission policy
For each of the above assignments and learning activities,
the following grading policy will be applied for late submission:
- -2 point for late submission of each assignment
after the due date.
- -1 extra point for each module
cycle after passing the due date.
Class expectation
To make the most out of this class, the students
are expected to do the following things:
- Check email at least twice daily.
- Check class announcement at least twice a week.
- If you have some questions, ask your peer students
in your group.
- If you still can't find the answers to your
questions ask the instructor by email.
- Always finish assignments earlier than due date.
Completion of assignment always takes more time than you expect.
- Try to apply your learning to personal situations.
