Shannon Dulin has served as the Bartell Field Camp Director since 2018. Shannon received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in geology from the University of Oklahoma. She also holds a B.S. in meteorology from OU.
In addition to Field Camp, Shannon also teaches Field Methods, Native Science, SedPet, Pmag, Earth's Past Climate and lots of other cool classes.
When she's not teaching or in the field, you can find Shannon procuring extravagant coffee beans, curating her office supply collection and finding cool moths with her cats.
Steve Adams (not the NBA player) joined the Bartell Field Camp staff in 2017. Steve earned his B.S. in geology from Indiana University and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. He is also the founder of Bison Underground.
Steve likes to be the first to reach the top of the happy, fun march. His favorite field area is at the cross section of Redemption and the Shiv.
When he's not at field camp, Steve enjoys gardening, smoothies and feeding stray cats.
Nevin Kozik joined the Bartell Field Camp staff in 2026. Nevin received his B.S. in geology from the University of California Riverside and his MS. and Ph.D. from Florida State University.
Nevin also teaches Principles of Geochemistry, Earth Systems, Physical Geology and Field Methods.
When Nevin isn’t teaching he enjoys playing with his dog, experiencing new cuisines, and foraging for mushrooms.
