  • Summer 2025, Dr. Son Dang was a visiting scholar at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), with the research focus on petrophysical characterization, reservoir scale modelling for large scale underground hydrogen storage (UHS)

  • Summer 2025, Dr. Son Dang was collaborating with Sandia National Laboratory, to develop internal proposal for sustainable solutions for Enhanced Geothermal Systems (DOE LAB call)

  • Fall 2025, Dr. Son Dang is a visiting scholar at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), to develop DOE concept papers and proposals, focusing on sensing technologies for rare earth elements (REEs) and critical minerals (CMs) evaluation from ore bodies (ROCKS NOFO).

  • Fall 2025, PNNL and IC3 form partnership on studying critical minerals (CM) extraction comingled with enhanced oil recovery (EOR) from depleted oil & gas reservoirs.
