Rouzbeh G. Moghanloo is the director of the Natural Gas Engineering and Management Program and ONEOK chair and associate professor at the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. He is the author or co-author of 148 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and the editor of a multi-author volume.

Moghanloo is a lifetime professional member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Chemical Society. He is the recipient of the 2018 SPE Mid-Continent Regional Reservoir Description and Dynamics Award and the 2016 ACS Petroleum Research Fund Award. He received his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.

Moghanloo’s research spans both applied and fundamental areas, including machine learning applications in petroleum engineering, enhanced oil recovery, geological CO₂ storage, asphaltene deposition, and the modeling of multiphase and particulate flow systems. He has served as a technical advisor to several companies, holds three patents, and has been an associate editor for multiple technical journals. He has also served as principal investigator and co-principal investigator on several projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
