The fourth biennial Oklahoma Archaeology Conference (OAC) is hosted and organized by the Oklahoma Public Archaeology Network (OKPAN) and Algonquin Consultants, Inc.  The conference will take place at the Thurman J. White Forum Building on the University of Oklahoma campus, February 29th - March 2nd, 2024.

As in the past, OAC will feature 20-minute oral presentations and a dedicated poster session during which authors will staff their posters. Posters will remain publicly accessible for the duration of the conference.

In addition to papers and posters, the conference will feature:

  • A Thursday evening opening reception

Dr. MacDonald will speak about her collaborative research with Mirrar Traditional Owners in Australia, which seeks to understand mineral resources and long-term artistic practices as expressed in rock art and cave paintings.
  • Vendor room for Oklahoma Native artists
  • Tribal collaborative forum
  • Much more!
