A minor is a secondary area of study that allows you to explore an additional academic interest alongside your major. It can complement your primary field of study, such as pairing business administration with organizational leadership, or introduce you to a completely different discipline, such as combining art with criminal justice.
Adding a minor is a great way to broaden your education, develop new skills, and gain knowledge that supports your personal, academic, or career goals. It allows you to dive deeper into a subject you're passionate about while enhancing the value of your degree.
A minor can also help you stand out when applying for jobs or graduate school. It demonstrates intellectual curiosity, versatility, and a willingness to go beyond minimum degree requirements. Whether you're looking to expand your expertise or explore a new interest, a minor can be a meaningful addition to your academic experience.
