
Presented by the OU Model UN Club, College of International Studies and Precollegiate Programs, the OU Model United Nations Conference offers current 9th - 12th grade students opportunities to engage in global diplomacy, critical thinking, speech and debate through a simulated experience of the Model UN General Assembly.
This years topic will primarily focus on the peaceful facilitation of nuclear disarmament. Additional subtopics include ensuring nations that have nuclear energy programs use their enriched uranium for the appropriate purposes, encouraging transparency about individual countries nuclear developments and discussion of membership in the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Cost is $30 per delegate. Fees are due at the time of registration. Precollegiate Programs will accept a purchase order. Please note, all students must be registered and accompanied by a school advisor.
Conference will be held on Friday April 24, 2026. Check in begins at 8:30. Assembly will open at 9 am and end at 3:00pm.
