OUPI offers a cutting-edge curriculum designed in collaboration with corporate partners and driven by over 200 years of industry experience from our world-class faculty. There are multiple pathways to earn an in-person degree from OUPI including the bachelor’s degree completion programs on the OU-Tulsa campus and a four-year degree on the OU Norman campus.
The University of Oklahoma Polytechnic Institute offers bachelor’s degree completion programs as well as masters and doctoral level programs in critical STEM fields.
Oklahoma's demand for technology professionals continues to grow. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission identifies computer and information technology occupations among the state's Top 100 Critical Occupations for 2022–2032, highlighting the need for graduates with expertise in cybersecurity, software development and integration, applied artificial intelligence, healthcare information systems, and digital manufacturing technologies.
According to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission's 2022–2032 workforce projections, many of Oklahoma's fastest-growing and highest-demand occupations are in computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, data science, digital manufacturing, and healthcare information systems, fields that align directly with OUPI's academic programs.
The Oklahoma State Legislature stepped forward with a $10 million appropriation that allows OUPI to aggressively recruit top-tier faculty who will design and build first-class teaching and research labs at OU-Tulsa. Local foundations and private sector partners including the George Kaiser Family Foundation, Google and others have also provided strong, on-going support.
