The application deadline for Fall 2022 is extended to July 15th.
The Online MBA application is a 2-step process: 1) submit your biographical data and transcript(s) in the OU Online portal, then 2) upload your personal statement, current resume, and entrance exam (GMAT or GRE) scores or an entrance exam waiver application in the next phase of the application.
We value a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives in our classroom, so we encourage applicants from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds to apply.
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. It is to your advantage to apply as early as you are ready. The admissions committee cannot predict the quality of future applications and is inclined to admit well-qualified applicants early in the process. In addition, early application ensures that you will receive a decision earlier. However, it is important not to rush your application. We encourage you to take the time necessary to submit a thoughtful, well-prepared application.
An application fee is not required for applicants to the Online MBA program.

The Online MBA’s “Entrance Exam Requirement” can be met by: (a) submitting a valid GMAT/GRE score; or (b) successfully applying for an “Entrance Exam Waiver” (see below).
If you choose to take (or have taken) the GMAT or GRE, please upload an official score report with your admissions application. Test scores are valid for five years and we only consider your highest GMAT or GRE scores.
Which test you choose to take is entirely up to you, and we do not give preferential treatment to those who select one test over the other. If you choose to take the GRE, your score will be converted to a predicted GMAT score.
If you wish to apply for an entrance exam waiver, you may do so at any time. All entrance exam waivers applicants will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and the granting of waivers cannot be guaranteed. A denial of this request does not preclude you from taking the GMAT/GRE and continuing to apply for admission to the Online MBA Program.
We look at two main criteria as a basis for the entrance exam waiver for Online MBA applicants.
- A minimum GPA of 3.30 or higher from most recent Bachelor's or Master's degree completed
- Has demonstrated quantitative aptitude (such as work projects, academic coursework, STEM degrees, or other)
* Applicants to the Full-time MBA or other graduate programs in Price College are not eligible for this waiver request.
*Online MBA applicants who are not approved for an Entrance Exam Waiver may complete another assessment to evaluate academic readiness. You will receive communication about this option, if applicable.
Provide a copy of an up-to-date professional résumé. Include information about full-time positions, military assignments, and significant part-time or summer work experiences. Résumés should also list education history with dates of attendance and graduation.
The admissions committee will contact you via email to schedule the interview at a mutually convenient time. Interviews can be conducted in-office, virtually, or over the phone.
Requests for transfer credit are reviewed upon acceptance to the Online MBA program. Courses must be from an AACSB-accredited institution with an earned grade of B or higher, taken within the last five years, and approved by the MBA department.
There are no prerequisites for the MBA program. The curriculum provides introductory business courses at the graduate level
Reapplying the following year, after being denied, does not hamper your chances of being admitted into the program. We will evaluate your application as brand new and will not consider the previous denial. If you want to improve your application and are unsure of how to better your chances, feel free to reach out to us. We would be happy to discuss how you can improve your application.
As this program is entirely online, no visa is required for international applicants. We also cannot grant F-1 visas for participants in the Online MBA since students are not required to travel to the USA at all.
The language of instruction at OU is English. Adequate English language skills are essential to academic success. If English is not your first language, you will be required to demonstrate English language proficiency before admission.
