Personal laptop computers can be used to improve teaching and learning and provide anytime/anywhere communication between students and faculty. It is recommended that all students majoring or minoring in business have a laptop computer that meets the minimum system requirements established by the Price College. Many business courses now require and utilize software in and outside of the classroom, requiring students to have and use their own personal laptops for coursework.
All devices need a minimum of:
Note: For laptops with the minimum 512GB hard drive specification, we strongly recommend having an external hard drive for backups and extra storage. Alternatively, we suggest that students save their files on OneDrive (cloud-based storage), which is provided to every student at OU free of charge. A 1TB storage drive is recommended for students who prefer to store large files and applications locally.
*Other browsers may be specified by individual courses.
Price College students can check out Windows Laptops from the kiosk located in Price Hall’s Clary Lounge. The checkout period is 4 hours, with a $30 overdue fine charged per hour if not returned on time. Laptops overdue by more than a day will result in a fine for the sticker price of the laptop.
