Digital Diplomas – New as of Fall 2021 -

Digital diplomas are issued via Parchment to recent graduates to share with their family, friends and future employers. Note: Tuition & fees must be paid in full before digital diplomas are available for download. (You will receive a notification from Parchment.com via your OU email with instructions on how to download your copy of digital diploma).

Diplomas are mailed to graduates at the end of Fall semester and Summer session.

  • Fall Graduates: Undergraduate and master's degree diplomas for fall graduates are mailed in late March to early April; Ph.D. diplomas are mailed in late April to early May.

  • Spring Graduates: Undergraduate and master's degree diplomas are mailed in late July to early August; Ph.D. diplomas are mailed in late August to early September.

  • Summer Graduates: Undergraduate and master's degree diplomas are mailed in late September to early October; Ph.D. diplomas are mailed in late September to early October.

A photo ID is required to pick up your diploma in person. Written authorization is required to release your diploma to another person, and those picking up your diploma must have a photo ID. Diplomas may be picked up in Office of the Registrar, Buchanan Hall, Room 230, 1000 Asp Ave.

Mailing Instructions for Students and Scholars

The Office of the Registrar at the University of Oklahoma of provides an express mailing service to students and scholars through eShipGlobal, which allows you to request and receive your diploma from the university using your preferred carrier (FedEx, UPS, or DHL) and shipping service. Please follow the instructions provided below to create your (free) eShipGlobal account, confirm your delivery address, and request your document(s).

***If you are ordering through E-Ship Global and you are not a current semester graduate, you will be charged $50.00 per diploma printed. Please contact diploma@ou.edu to process the diploma payment separate from the E-Ship Global shipping charges.*** 

How to Request Your Diploma:

1.

Login or Create your eShipGlobal (or “UEMS”) account​ (https://study.eshipglobal.com/register/)

2.

Click the activation link sent to your email address, then login to your account

3.

Click “RECEIVE DOCUMENTS FROM UNIVERSITY”

4.

Enter “University of Oklahoma Norman Campus” into the ‘UNIVERSITY SEARCH’ box

5.

Select "Office of the Registrar” from the list of departments provided

6.

Confirm or update your delivery address

7.

Select your preferred carrier and shipping service

8.

Select your method of payment (Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, or Wire Transfer) and confirm payment details

Once completed, you will automatically receive a confirmation email with your order details, and your request will be sent to the university. Once the university has processed and shipped your documents, you will automatically receive a notification email confirming that your documents have been shipped and your tracking information.

You may also track or check the current status of your shipment at any time (24/7) by logging in to your eShipGlobal account, or by contacting eShipGlobal’s Student Support team.

If you wish to order additional copy/copies of your diploma, submit a notarized statement verifying your name at the time of graduation and degree title to Academic Records either by mail to University of Oklahoma, Academic Records, 1000 Asp Ave., Room 230, Norman, OK 73019-4076, or fax (405) 325-7047. You also need to include the address to which you want the diploma mailed and $50.00 per diploma for postage and handling. 

If your name has changed and you want your diploma reprinted with your current name, submit a signed request along with the original diploma and a certified copy of the court order documenting your legal name change.  Name change requests due to divorce must be sent with a copy of the divorce decree which reinstates the maiden name. Name changes will be reflected on your permanent record and on the reissued diploma. Send your request to Academic Records either by mail to University of Oklahoma, Academic Records, 1000 Asp Ave., Room 230, Norman, OK 73019-4076, or fax to (405) 325-7047. You also need to include the address to which you want the diploma mailed and $50.00 per diploma for postage and handling.

If your diploma has been lost or destroyed, submit a notarized statement of what happened to the diploma, your name at the time of graduation and the degree title to Academic Records either by mail to University of Oklahoma, Academic Records, 1000 Asp Ave., Room 230, Norman, OK 73019-4076, or fax to (405) 325-7047. You also need to include the address to which you want the diploma mailed and $50.00 per diploma for postage and handling.

Academic Records will notarize three copies of your diploma for a $10.00 service charge. 

Diplomas requiring an apostille must be notarized and then forwarded to the Oklahoma Secretary of State at the Oklahoma State Capitol, Oklahoma City, OK.  

Payment for any of the above charges can be made by check or money order made payable to the University of Oklahoma, or by providing your credit card type, card number, verification number, expiration date, cardholder name, cardholder billing address, and cardholder signature.

Those graduates requesting diplomas for employment purposes overseas may need to investigate what authentication may be required by the country where the diploma will be presented.  

Photo ID is required to pick up your diploma. Written authorization is required to release your diploma to another person, and the person picking up your diploma must show a photo ID.

A diploma will not be produced for a student with a Bursar Hold. Contact Student Financial Center at (405) 325-9000 to resolve the Bursar Hold, and then provide Academic Records at (405) 325-4147 with an updated diploma mailing address when the hold has been cleared.
