Radar Innovations Lab - ARRC

Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC)

ARRC Logo

The ARRC is now over 15 years old, having grown from a small interdisciplinary group of energetic faculty and students into the largest academic radar program in the nation. The ARRC’s mission is to enhance safety, security, environmental quality, and economic prosperity through interdisciplinary research and development of innovative radar solutions to a wide range of societal challenges. The ARRC has always focused on developing cutting-edge radar technology for scientific discovery and has now expanded into many more applications of radar and applied electromagnetics. With unwavering support from the university administration, the ARRC is quickly becoming known as the go-to place for all things radar!

Lin Hall

Center for Quantum Research and Technology (CQRT)

The CQRT is located in Lin Hall, a new state-of-the-art physics building hosting 18,000 square feet of laboratory space that meets NIST-A specifications on vibrations, temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic interference. The Center is associated with the Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy at OU, located in Nielsen Hall. The two buildings form the Dodge Physics Complex.

The Center is committed to make significant advances in the field of quantum science and technology and to establish partnerships with industry. We are recruiting talented graduate students and postdocs to join us in our several lines of research in the areas of quantum sensing, quantum information, synthetic correlated quantum systems, and quantum materials.

National Institute for Risk & Resilience (NIRR)

Founded in 2015, the National Institute for Risk and Resilience (“The Risk Institute”) is an umbrella organization that facilitates collaboration among University of Oklahoma research centers, individual scholars, and external partners on risk-related teaching, research, and outreach. Our focus is on the application of interdisciplinary approaches for understanding and addressing societal risks, and increasing the resilience of communities and society in the face of natural, technological, and human hazards. The Risk Institute draws on the expertise of a Board of Advisors comprised of OU faculty and administrators, as well as leaders from the risk community. A team of interdisciplinary faculty, staff, and students are affiliated with the institute across multiple OU colleges, departments, and centers.
