Awards

The University of Oklahoma Graduate Student Senate will be seeking nominations for the 2025-2026 Outstanding Graduate Student Awards.

Nominations were made in the following categories:

• Overall Outstanding Graduate Student – $500
• Outstanding Teaching Assistant – $250
• Outstanding Research Assistant – $250

Nominate the OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT in your life!

• The full packet must be submitted as one PDF file no later than 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd, 2026.

Who can make a nomination?

• The nominating person must currently be employed and/or enrolled at the University of Oklahoma.
• Nominations can be made by a supervising professor, a staff member, or a graduate student.
• Graduate students cannot nominate themselves.

Who can be nominated?

• Any currently enrolled graduate student at the University of Oklahoma.

How can you nominate your OUTSTANDING grad student?

• Complete a nomination packet.
• Email gssacademic@ou.edu using your OU email address and by the deadline.

How are winners selected?

• All nominations are judged by the Academic Affairs committee of the Graduate Student Senate (GSS).  The committee's selection of winners is then put forth and affirmed in a resolution by GSS body.
