2023 Homecoming Schedule

Boards

Time: 9:00 AM

Location: South Oval

Registered OU organizations will be standing up their wooden-decorated boards on the south side of the Van Vleet Oval that represent the 2023 CAC Homecoming Theme “Game On”. Students, faculty, alumni and community members are encouraged to support the participating organizations by walking down Van Vleet Oval to see their designs..


Sidewalk Chalk Competition

Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Location: South Oval

Registered OU organizations will be on the south side of the Van Vleet Oval, chalking designs that represent the 2023 CAC Homecoming Theme “Game On”. Students, faculty, alumni and community members are encouraged to support the participating organizations by walking down Van Vleet Oval to see the art.


Banners

Time: All Week

Location: Oklahoma Memorial Union, Food Court

Registered OU organizations will be showcasing their decorated banners in the Oklahoma Memorial Union Food Court that represent the 2023 CAC Homecoming Theme “Game On”. Students, faculty, alumni and community members are encouraged to support the participating organizations by walking through the OMU Food Court to see their designs.

Sark After Dark

Time: 6:00 - 10:00 PM

Location: Sarkeys Fitness Center

Address: 1401 Asp Ave, Norman, OK, 73019

Located at Sarkeys Fitness Center, Sark After Dark is a fun and inclusive event where all campus organizations are invited to create a team to participate in either a volleyball or basketball tournament. Participate to win bragging rights for the rest of the year!

Breakfast on the SOVAL

Time: 8:00 - 11:00 AM

Location: Northern side of the South Oval, near the Bizzell Memorial Statue

Free breakfast will be available on the north side of Van Vleet Oval, where students and faculty may start their day with free breakfast and coffee.


Proudly Gleaming

Time: 7:00 - 10:00 PM

Location: Oklahoma Memorial Union, Molly Shi Boren Ballroom

Join us for Proudly Gleaming, a fun-filled evening presented by the LGBTQ+ Programs. The night will feature dancing, hors d'oeuvres, light refreshments, and more entertainment.

Trivia Night is a Homecoming and College Bowl fusion event full of fun trivia based on pop culture and OU knowledge.

Glow Parade 

Time: 8:00 - 8:30 PM

Location: More information on the Parade route to come!

One of Homecoming’s oldest traditions is taking a twist by going glow. The annual Homecoming Parade will now be hosted in the evening prior to the OU Homecoming game. The parade will still feature dozens of student groups, OU faculty, the Homecoming Royalty Court, OU Spirit and members of the community in the annual procession down Boyd St.

The parade route will begin heading north on Elm Street, turning east on Boyd Street and south on Parrington Oval until the parade ends with floats across the North Oval.


Rah! Rally

Time: 9:00 - 11:00 PM

Location: Outside Jacobson Hall

Rah! Rally is a traditional pep rally designed to gain hype for the Homecoming game that weekend! Groups and organizations will choreograph a performance to compete against each other in front of a panel of judges.

Boyd House Block Party 

Time: 8:00 - 10:00 AM

Location: Boyd House Front Lawn

Address: 407 W. Boyd Street, Norman, Oklahoma, 73069

Join us for a fun celebration of Homecoming and the University of Oklahoma on the historical Boyd House Lawn. Come by and enjoy face painting, balloon twisting, coffee,
donuts and yard games! All are welcome and encouraged to attend!


Royalty Announcement

Time: Halftime, OU Homecoming Football Game

Location: Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium

Address: 1185 Asp Ave, Norman, OK 73019

The royalty attendants are chosen based on their academic excellence, leadership, extracurricular involvement and campus pursuits. These seniors are recognized at halftime of the football game, ride in the parade, and are specially featured throughout the week.
