She was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 90 days in a Federal Women's Prison. She was released on August 1, 2003 from F.M.C. Carswell. The School of the Americas is a U.S. Military institution responsible for training soldiers from Latin America. In previous years, SOA graduates went on to commit human rights atrocities including the murder of six Jesuit preists. SOA Watch is an organization dedicated to sharing information and attempting to shut down what is now known as the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation.
