I enjoy the sense of community and long-lasting traditions the University has built. I am glad that I am a part of an organization that takes pride in its research, academics, athletics, and community involvement. When I tell my friends and family that I work for OU, I radiate with pride and feel the crimson and cream running through my veins.

It is important for me to serve as a Senator because it gives me a chance to help those who feel their voices are not heard. As we take the next steps in our strategic plan, it is important to support, respect and acknowledge everyone at all levels regardless of title or position.

I have not found a single favorite spot on campus. I believe all of campus is beautiful and is able to offer a different experience depending on the time of day and year. From the benches under the shaded trees to tailgating around the stadium. I have many favorite spots throughout campus.

One of the biggest opportunities I see is around knowledge transfer. As long-time employees retire, there’s a real need to preserve institutional memory and help newer staff feel supported. Mentorship and documentation can go a long way in keeping things running smoothly and passing down what works. I also think we could improve how departments communicate and collaborate. Sometimes things get stuck simply because people don’t know who to reach out to or how their work connects with others. Making those connections clearer would help a lot. And finally, I’d love to see more ways to engage and recognize staff—whether it’s through professional development, wellness programs, or just making sure people feel heard. OU has a great community, and continuing to build on that is something I’d be excited to support.

Outside of work I enjoy exploring what Oklahoma has to offer. I have enjoyed taking a weekend getaway or a day trip to hike, shop, and eat my way through the state. I also enjoy spending time with my two very rowdy and rambunctious fur babies and spoiling my nephew every chance I get.
