I am honored to get to work with our amazing staff and faculty. Those I work with have become like family over the years and I truly look forward to getting to come into work to see them each day. Knowing that we are making a difference in the lives of our students and working for the betterment of Oklahoma are also important, of course!
Shared governance is important for our University to function. I believe that all staff who are able should be take a turn at serving to help affect the changes we all think would be beneficial to our OU community.
I serve as a Staff Senate representative on the Employee Benefits Committee and am also on the Staff Senate Policy Review Committee. Currently, I also adjunct for the The OU Online Criminal Justice Master's program and the Department of Sociology.
My three boys--7, 4, and 1--keep me very busy! We are often found at parks and in the summer, the splash pads! If you have young kiddos, we are always up for more friends; just reach out and we can make a play date happen.
The Community Outreach Committee shall consist of at least six (6) members who serve two (2) year staggered terms, beginning August 1. The Chair of the committee shall be appointed annually by the Chair of the Norman Staff Senate. The Past Chair of the committee may serve in an advisory capacity.
The functions of the Community Outreach Committee are to: Assist Norman staff in their growth as individuals, leaders and members of the community; Provide opportunities to serve the broader community with time and effort using the criteria established by the Norman Staff Senate.
